Dorothy Hood established the The Diamond Factory over 25 years ago and it is from there that all Plus One Pendants are made. Founded in 1982, Dorothy and The Diamond Factory are still designing and creating exciting new pieces of jewellery using all types of metals, gold, silver and platinum, and the whole range of precious and semi-precious stones.

With 25 years experience in the business the company is still owned and run by Dorothy Hood who along with her late husband Alan set up the business in 1982. The Plus One Pendants is the latest range to be designed and has taken over a year to finalise. The Plus One Pendants have a registered design patent and Dorothy has personally sourced all the stones herself - the sapphires from Madagascar and the diamonds from Africa - and at each stage of the process she has personally checked that all the stones are non-conflict stones.

The Diamond Factory is located in Queens Court, a quaint Victorian courtyard in the heart of the beautiful seaside town of Ayr, Scotland. For over a quarter of a century visitors and clients have visited the workshop and shop to buy, chat and browse - visitors are always welcome!
